Modeling the Brain for Treating Sleep Disorders

 | Post date: 2022/05/1 |

AUT’s researchers have successfully presented a model for transient states of brain during the sleep phases. Mr. Mahmod Alipoor, an AUT graduate and the executor of the project ‘interactive modeling of transient states between sleep phases by EEG signals’ explained that the lack of an evolutionary model to serve as a black box for the interactive behavior of brain neurons during sleep was the main reason that led to the proposal of this project. This model can be used in transferable systems to monitor various stages of human sleep cycle and prevent certain sleep-related disorders.
Dr. Hashemi Golpaigani, Amirkabir University of Technology faculty member, has served as the academic advisor to this project.
