Researchers of the Mechanical Engineering department of Amirkabir University were successful in the diagnosis of concurrent faults in spiral gears based on vibration and sound signal processing which is practical in variant industries such as wind turbines.

In their research, AUT scientists found a composite cover that is practical in different industries such as aerospace and transportation because of the lightness of aluminum components, covered by composite which has other benefits like high resistance to corrosion and erosion and is useful for decreasing energy consumption.

MOU between Science and Technology Park and Melli Bank

AUT Science park is home to more than 240 technological entities with 100 of them having been registered as legally official companies, amongst which there are 52 knowledge-based companies located in AUT's Science and Technology Park that are operating in various fields, stated Saeed Farhang Fasihi, head of AUT's Science and Technology Park in the ceremony of signing the joint memorandum of understanding with Melli bank.

Lightest Material in the World for Batteries and Supercapacitors

Researchers at Amirkabir University of Technology were able to acquire the technical knowledge to make the world's lightest material called Aerographene and engineer its structure for use in batteries and supercapacitors. Arash Ghazitabar stated that Aerographene is the world's lightest material and can be used to decrease the overall weight of the equipment.
