New Method for Tunnel Drilling and Maintenance
In his doctoral dissertation, Masoud Ghorbani, a doctoral student in rock mechanics at AUT, presented a new methodology for selecting the drilling method and the initial maintenance system of rock tunnels based on the tunnel instability mechanism.

Two AUT Professors, in the World Highly Cited Researchers’ List
In the 2021 report, out of 6,602 world’s highly cited researchers, eighteen researchers from Iran (15 researchers with the first organizational affiliation from Iran) were among the most cited in the world, from which Dr. Mehdi Dehghan and Dr. Mostafa Abbaszadeh from AUT have been selected in mathematics.

Fabrication of Multilayer Nanofiber Membranes Using Plant Extracts and Seashells
Researchers at Amirkabir University of Technology have succeeded in modifying the biocompatible polymer of chitosan with the help of plant extracts to create multilayer membranes that can be used to prevent adhesions in surgery and at the same time, become fixed on the wound site without the need for sutures due to the presence of a layer of bioadhesive inspired by oysters (biped).

Dr. Basam Bashir Ebrahim, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Syria, Dr. Shafigh Deiub, the ambassador of Syria in Iran, Dr. Yassar Abedin, the chancellor of Damascus University, and the accompanying delegation visited AUT and the Technology Tower.
