US Patent Registered by AUT Researcher
Dr. Sorayya Ghayempoyr commented on the stages of registering this international invention, “we proceeded to register this invention in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in early 2017 through the Iran Patent Office. After repeated follow-ups, the patent was accepted to be published by USPTO on May 24th, 2018, with the serial 1-A2018-0140738US.”

MOU between AUT and the Association of Knowledge-Based Companies in the Field of Health in Tehran
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, a Memorandum of Agreement of cooperation between Amirkabir University of Technology and the Association of Knowledge-based Companies in the Field of Health in Tehran was signed between Dr. Hossein Hosseini Toodeshki, the research vice-chancellor of Amirkabir University of Technology, and Dr. Hossein Vatanpour, chairman of the board in the association of knowledge-based companies in the field of health in Tehran.

A Project Seeking to Produce Intelligent Electronic Textile
AUT researchers have initiated a project to develop intelligent electrical textile aiming to build flexible super-capacitors. Marjan Barekzehi- an AUT graduate and the project manager- stated, "a flexible fabric-based super-capacitor was produced by coating graphene and polypyrrole optimally using a gel electrolyte with a 1.1cm-2 surface size in this project.

Manufacturing Ultra-Toughened Cutting Edges
Scholars at AUT have managed to make all-ceramic-composite ultra-though cutting edges for the first time in the world. Behzad Nayebi, a Ph.D. graduate in material engineering, composite, stated that “methods based on powder metallurgy are the only way of making this group of ceramics.

Female Ph.D Student & Mother of Three Children at Amirkabir University of Technology
Fatemeh Parastesh, a Ph.D. student at the Amirkabir University of Technology graduated from the department of Medical Engineering. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate working under the guidance of Dr. Sajjad Jafari and Dr. Hamed Azarnoosh with a GPA of 18.68. Last year, she was nominated by Iran’s National Elite Foundation.

This ceremony was held in the presence of professors, staff and students of AUT. Dr. Siavosh Khorsandi, vice chancellor of cultural and student affairs referring to Engineer’s Day said: "students of this university should work in such a way that they can always find a way to help the country achieve its greatest goals, so that the country can have scientific and technological progress everyday."

First AUT Computer Engineering College Internship
The Internship details are as follows:
-Fifteen students enrolled in the project
-Eight were accepted
-Three of them applied to join the Cruise Company
-Five others applied to intern at Tosan Company.
All interviews were conducted in the companies with the Co-Op Group of the Computer Engineering College also participating. The co-op course consists of two separate 7-month courses for the Spring 2021 academic semester. Undergraduate students intern full-time in the companies during this course and they receive salaries, health insurance and etc.
