Dormitory Repair and Reconstruction
The project of repairing and reconstructing the dormitory of Martyr Abdolhosseyn Najjarian at the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Seddighi (Head of the Student Affairs Organization), Dr. Motiee (Head of the Student Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science), Dr. Motamedi (Chancellor of the Amirkabir University of Technology) and a group of university benefactors. About 200 female graduate students of AUT live in this dormitory complex, which will increase by 30% upon full reconstruction and repair.

Reducing Microprocessor Defects and New Data Storage Devices Using Core/Shell Particles
Dr. Hamid Akbari-Moayer, an AUT graduate and the executor of the project "Manufacturing and Investigating Nanomechanical Properties of Cores/Shells Abrasive Particles Applied in Chemical Mechanical Polishing/Planarization (CMP)" stated: "Due to the unique properties of core/shell particles and the probability of getting multiple advantages simultaneously in one structure, these structures have been the item of interest in a variety of applications, including catalytic converters, solar cells, biotechnology, and drug delivery".

Winners of AUT's 20th Programming Tournament
In the student division, the Sharif University of Technology (SUT) team consisting of Ali Shafiei, Keyvan Rezaei, and Hamidreza Hedayati ranked first, the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) team consisting of Farshid Noushi, Amir Hosseyn Sana, and Abolfazl Bekiasay ranked second, and Tehran University team consisting of Alireza Tavakoli, Ramtin Rahvarian and Sina Naserian ranked third.

Amirkabir University of Technology and Central Iranian Oil Company Signed a Research Contract
Amirkabir University of Technology and the Central Iranian Oil Company signed a research contract to survey the causes and geochemical origin of the increase in hydrogen sulfide in gas reservoirs in southern Iran and provide executive solutions to reduce it. This contract was signed for two years and is to be implemented in the department of Petroleum Engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology.

AUT Professor Receives COMSTECH 2019 Award
Dr. Sajjad Jafari a Mathematical professor at AUT. His research interests include nonlinear and chaotic systems and signals, and mathematical biology. Also, he also works on complex networks and collective behaviors in them, such as synchronization, Chimera states, and spiral waves. He serves as editor in the International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, International Journal of Electronics and Communications, and Radio engineering.

AUT Boosts Its Cooperation with Oman in Science and Technology
"One of our priorities is to boost cooperation with Oman, and for this, good relations have been recently established between the two sides. Now, we at AUT focus not only on education but also on technology and research, and a large portion of our relations will cover these areas", said Dr. Seyyed Ahmad Motamedi during the visit of the Ambassador of Oman in Tehran of AUT.
